Messages (Temporary Storage for Delivery):

Post by Bappy10 »

WhatsApp temporarily stores messages on its servers in encrypted form until they are delivered to the recipient.
If a message cannot be delivered immediately (e.g., recipient is offline), it remains encrypted on servers for up to 30 days while delivery is attempted. If undelivered after 30 days, it is deleted.
Media within messages (photos, videos) is also stored encrypted for up to 30 days to facilitate efficient delivery and potential forwarding.
Once delivered, messages and media are deleted from WhatsApp's servers.
Customer Support Communications: Information you provide when contacting WhatsApp's customer support, including text, documents, or screenshots related to your issue.

Transaction and Payments Data: If you use WhatsApp Pay or other ghana phone number list commerce features (available in some regions), information related to transactions (payment method, transaction details, shipping information for purchases).

Usage and Log Information (Metadata): This is a significant category and includes:
Activity on Services: How you use WhatsApp, which features you use (messaging, calling, Status, groups, communities, business features), the time, frequency, and duration of your activities.

Interactions: How you interact with other users and businesses (e.g., when you search for a business). This includes timestamps for when you are online ("last seen"), when you send and receive messages, and call durations. WhatsApp states it does not keep logs of who everyone is messaging or calling in terms of content, but records the fact of communication.
