Areas Where the Book Shows Its Age (and What's New)
Despite its strengths, the database landscape evolves rapidly, and some aspects of "Seven Databases in Seven Weeks" inevitably reflect the time of its publication.

Riak (1st Edition): While a pioneering key-value store, its prominence has waned, with other key-value stores (e.g., DynamoDB, etcd) gaining more traction.
HBase (1st Edition): Still relevant in specific Hadoop ecosystems, but its general norway phone number list popularity might be surpassed by other big data storage solutions.
CouchDB (1st Edition): Still active, but often overshadowed by MongoDB in terms of general adoption for document databases.
RethinkDB (2nd Edition): Unfortunately, RethinkDB Inc. shut down shortly after the 2nd edition's publication. While its technical concepts were innovative, its commercial viability proved challenging. This highlights the risk of covering specific implementations in a rapidly changing field.
