Backing up WhatsApp data to Google Drive is a simple way to protect your messages and media. It ensures that even if you lose your phone, your chats aren’t gone forever.
To enable this feature:
Open WhatsApp > Settings > Chats > Chat Backup.
Tap Back up to Google Drive.
Choose backup frequency (daily, weekly, monthly).
Backups include messages, voice whatsapp number database notes, and media. However, video backup is optional — uncheck it if you're low on storage.
You can also enable end-to-end encrypted backups by tapping “Encrypted Backup” and setting a password or encryption key. This ensures that even Google cannot read your chat content.
