What is Google Trends and how does it work?

As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, Google Trends taiwan telegram is an online search tool (as its name indicates, from the company Google) that offers the user the possibility of seeing the frequency with which certain keywords, topics and phrases have been consulted during a specific period of time.

How does Google Trends really work?

Google Trends has a similar format to SERP searches . Users can search for trends by typing in the desired keyword, search term, or topic. Once the search is done, the tool itself displays a graph representing online interest in that keyword over a period of time and for a specific area.

This search interest is classified on a scale of 0 to 100 , where 100 suggests the highest popularity or search volume and 0 indicates that there is not enough data available on that keyword. As you can see, looking at how this tool works in a little more detail, we can deduce that it can be very useful for performing keyword searches . And indeed, it is!

Furthermore, the data provided by the tool is obtained by comparing the frequency with which a certain search term is typed into the SERP with the total number of queries executed by users on that same search engine. Although the data provided by Google Trends is updated daily and appears to be very accurate and precise results, Google includes a warning that the data produced by Trends “ may contain inaccuracies for a number of reasons, including data sampling issues and a variety of approximations used to calculate results . ”

Finally, Google Trends itself allows us to consult up to 5 keywords or search terms simultaneously , which is a great plus for carrying out a more detailed analysis. These results, as we have mentioned, are shown in a graph, which in turn can be exported in a .csv file, and then we can open them in Excel or in other spreadsheet applications.
